Default Clean Out the Throttle Body

75000 miles on my 2011 Altima and going to pull the "electric throttle control actuator" (throttle body) off and clean it. It's a fly by wire operation so the computer may not like it lol.
But the factory service manual says "Start the engine and rev it up and check for fuel leaks at connections.
(not disconnecting fuel stuff so no leaks)
• Perform procedures for “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning” after finishing repairs.
This easy and no problem.
Then it says "If electric throttle control actuator is replaced, perform procedures for “Idle Air Volume Learning” after
finishing repairs. Refer to EC-20, "IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING : Description".

Notice it says if the actuator is "replaced" perform "Idle air volume learning"
I won't be replacing it just cleaning and putting it back in it's proper place.
If I have to I will perform that also ......
Has anyone done this on a late model Altima yet?
Any problems? Any Suggestions?

Question #2
The manual says to replace the rubber seal that goes in between the throttle body and intake manifold. I could not find this part online. I guess I have to go to the dealership .... yuck ... nightmare....

Don't spray cleaner into the throttle body. Spray it on a rag and wipe it out. You will have to do the idle air volume relearn after.

Thanks to mpe235 for your quick response. Could you elaborate just a bit on why not to spray the cleaner directly into the throttle body. Just curious and thx again.

Does the idle air volume relearn have to be done if you wipe it out or are you saying that if you spray it in there then I would have to do the relearn for the idle air volume?

Don't spray cleaner in there. It is not sealed. The liquid can interfere with the electronics.
