Default Engine Swap on an 05 2.5 auto, now overheats.

I did an engine swap (used engine from a JDM engine supplier) on my daughter's 05 Altima. Runs great and the temp gauge only gets halfway at idle, but after a half-mile drive the temp gauge goes to the top. I added coolant before starting the car. Is this a blockage problem? This is my first time working on a Nissan.

How did you purge the air?
There is a specific routine to purge the air from these engines.
I always use a purge funnel on the radiator to purge the air.
Manual specifies that the front of the vehicle must be raised to get air out.
I pull it up on ramps with great success
