Angry 2017 map update broke bluetooth to phone

I applied the 2017 map update via sd card. The update went fine but every since that if I let my iphone 6 connect to the car via bluetooth the nav system displays a phone call screen, like I am making a call but I am not. the hang up icon or button have no effect. I can't get off that screen without turning off the bluetooth on my phone. Once I do that everything on the nav system works fine. I did delete and repair my phone to the car, no effect, same problem.
I have a 2014 altima sedan.

Default I seemed to have fixed this

This is what I did.
with car off, remove sd card, turn off bluetooth on phone.
turn on car.
enable bluetooth on phone and let it connect.
insert sd card into nav unit in car.
It has been working fine now, restarted car a few times and no issues.
