Default 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 over heating HELP PLEASE

I have a 2005 altima 2.5. the car would overheat after 5 minutes at idle. i replaced both thermostats and the radiator because it had a small leak. Test drove the car about five miles with heat on high, outside air temp 30f and when i popped the hood to check for leaks the upper radiator hose was very hot to the touch and the lower hose was cold. I'm afraid to drive the car very far for fear the coolant isn't circulating properly. The coolant gauge reads just below half and the heater blows hot air. Any thoughts?

At this point you should perform a compression test and if possible a combustion gas leak test, unfortunately sounds like you may have a blown head gasket.
