Default Parts help

In need of "evap shut valve" Local parts store does not know what this is and my online searches give me things like purge valve solenoid (?) Car is having trouble taking gas during fill up. I have spent 20 minutes or more just trying to fill it. Does anyone know a part #

May I ask you why are you replacing the valve? do you have the engine light ON? I'm having problem find the "EVAP Shut Valve" as well.

Do you mean "Cut Valve" or "Purge Valve"?

Well, I know on a GM car that problem usually means a VENT valve (sometimes part of the charcoal canister).
Hope that leads you somewhere.

I was told that an evap shut valve is what was needed to fix it. Check engine light is on...the vehicle will hardly allow you to pump gas...on occasion it will choke up gas if you're not careful. This is on a 2006 Nissan altima.

Not very common on the 2006 Altima, but what you may need is the "Refueling EVAP Vapor Cut Valve", which is inside the gas tank.

The Refueling EVAP Vapor Cut Valve allows the vapor inside the gas tank to go to the EVAP canister. The vapor is absorbed by the EVAP canister and then purge during driving.

One more question, do you have the code number?
