'95 Altima steering gear assy, various part #s
My steering gear boot is cut and there's some tire cupping so I'm going to change the rack and pinion but although the following part numbers for the assembly are all said to be good by one dealer or another, Amazon shows some numbers as Does Not Fit Your Vehicle. Are there differences?
49001-2B002 49001-2B003 49011-2B000 Trying to buy from China via Alibaba as well but at the factory I'm communicating with either they are finding the part difficult to identify or they don't wish to sell only 1. Thanks for advice on this. BillyJ |

49001-2B000 is the original part number for the steering rack and pinion. The number was superceded by 49001-2B002 and -2B003. They are all interchangeable. Nissan supercedes part numbers for a variety of reasons and they don't always explain why. It could be a design change or improvement, different point of manufacturing or different manufacturer, etc.
I'm assuming the "49011-2B000" was a mis-type as there is no such part number. |
