Default 03 2.5l altima - just replaced camshaft & crankshaft sensors - what is this hose?

I just replaced both sensors on a 03 2.5l altima. No problem replacing both with Nissan OEM sensors.
Can't figure where one hose goes..... The hose comes out a silver box just below the master cylinder.

Thanks in advance.....

A breather hose. If you follow the hose down below you will see it's attach to the transmission.

I did follow and saw what you said. So the top hose is not connected? hence breather hose?
