crankshaft sensor
2004 Altima 2.5 ran fine, parked it, next morning won't start. Turns over like it wants to start but won't fire up. I changed both crank and cam sensors about 6 years ago. The car did not throw any codes. Any idea how I can check which sensor it might be? Any help would be appreciated.

A no start condition is always a PITA. It could be electrical or could be hardware. Test the cam sensor first since it is easier to get to and you don't even have to remove it just unplug the harness connector. Uninstall anyway to do visual. Your DMM in Ohm setting. Procedures in page EC-291. If cam sensor is good chances are crank sensor is good. If your scanner has Freeze Frame be sure to look in there for pending dtc.
Also inspect batt. neg. cable connections at chassis and engine. Have some1 step on the brake and you go see if you have brake lights, listen for fuel pump being primed. |

Thanks Benny. I don't have a service manual though. Can you post this pageEC-291? Thanks again.

You can download the loose leaf engine control manual from here. Manuals are in Knowledgebase section from the top menu bar.
