Default 2Replace catalytic converter 2002 Nissan Altima

How hard is it to change a catalytic converter in a 2002 Nissan Altima and is there a place I can find it online?

You don't mention whether it's a 2.5L or 3.5L, so I'll assume it's a 2.5L. You also don't mention whether it's the front or rear, but front are more common failures. It really isn't too bad if you have basic tools and mechanical skills and "if" the nuts aren't too rusted and don't need to be heated up with a torch to remove them. Autozone.com has free repair guides at their site; look up the procedure for exhaust manifold removal. Rockauto.com has good prices on aftermarket converters. If you live in California or a state that follows California emission standards, you will have to purchase a genuine Nissan converter unless you can find an aftermarket converter that is CARB certified. If you need a Nissan converter, try sites like CourtesyParts.com or NissanPartsDeal.com.
