2007 CVT fluid change capacity
I have 130,000 miles on a pristine 2007 2.5 SL. I want to change the cvt fluid as a preventative measure.
I bought the cvt fluid from the dealer at about $11 per quart. I think I have 6 or 7 quarts. Can someone tell me how many quarts I need? I don't want to buy and waste extra fluid but I also don't want to come up short when the dealer is closed. Thanks, Rick |

Thanks for your reply. I have searched everywhere for this information and they always refer me to the dealership.
I have a cvt drain plug. Looks like a simple drain and fill operation. Thanks, Rick |

when you refill it you want the level to be in the middle of the hash marks on the stick when the transmission fluid is at operating temperature. I usually start with about 4 1/4 quarts and then add as needed. Depending on the amount of time you let it drain it can range anywhere between 4.5 to 5.5 quarts.
