There should be a 19mm drain plug on the bottom of the pan. Nissan auto trannies use a screen, not a filter, which is not normally serviced. There is a copper crush washer on the drain plug which should be replaced; it's Nissan part #11026-01M02 and is the same washer used on the engine oil pan drain plug. I buy them in bulk on Ebay; they come in bags of 10, 20, 50, etc. The drain and fill will take about 4.5 quarts of Nissanmatic Type "D" ATF, which is the original Dexron formula. Nissan does not recommend using Dexron III/Mercon ATF as it has a thicker viscosity and can cause valve sticking in the valve body. However, aftermarket synthetic ATFs which are recommended for use in Type "D" applications will work fine, such as Valvoline Maxlife ATF or Castrol Transmax Multi-import ATF. Start with 4 quarts, run engine until hot, and then top off the level. The dipstick tube serves as the "fill hole" for the fluid. If you don't have one, transmission funnels can be found at any auto parts store.
