Hi all I need, some help whith a friends car , its a 2005 Altima 2.5 S and the temp gauge is always all the way up , or showing overheating , I have already changed both thermostats, the sending unit and one of 3 relays for the engine fan, but still showing to hot , aside for the gauge its self is there anything else that you guys would check or maybe know of , thanks in advance, Hjalmar.

I guess the question would be, is it really running hot and I don't really know how to answer that question. Since you replaced the t-stats and sending unit, I would assume it is running hot.

Do both fans come on and run on high when the AC is on?

There's not much else here to go wrong, but I would suggest two things. Number one, since you did replace what you did, I can only assume that you removed air from the system. Easiest way to check that is turn on heat, at idle, you should get heat from the vents, especially if it says it's overheating. If you don't get heat, you've to air in the system and need to get it removed. There are posts here and on youtube on how to burb the system on an Altima.

Assuming no air in the system, then I would suspect the radiator is partially clogged. You've done everything else, there's not much left.

hi dcarlton , and thanks for the answer , and I forgot to mention that I know it is not running hot , I used my heat gun and it is ca 175-185 after running it hard and both fans come on and I bled the system , so it must be the gauge it self , but anyway many thanks , Hjalmar.
