I have seen that problem only a couple of times. One time we just reprogrammed the remote and that fixed it and the other one we had to replaced the remote. Looks like the vehicle is not reading that the remote is still inside. How many keys do you have?

That new remote you can get both from dealer and locksmith. I've got one from locksmith queens and their expert have even changed battery once after one year for free.

If you have any locksmith near to your home or office, they will explain all the ways to prevent these things to happen if you are facing the problem like locked keys in car, lockout, etc.

It's long time now to post reply but you must consider to take help from certified locksmith to replace the fob battery.

Any lock expert can unlock or open it easily, just give any locksmith a call if you see any trouble with key lock in future.

First you need to check the wiring of the door lock may be exchanging the wires can work for you but still the problem arises try to hire an expert to help you. I also have the same issue and it ended up hiring nearest locksmith near me to unlock the door.
