Default CVT fluid capacity 2007 Altima

I have read 2 to 5 quarts. Which is it? I have a drain plug in the trans pan.
The dealer sells the fluid for $19.99 so I don't want to over buy.

The dealer said to change it around 150,000 but I think I know better. I now have 100,000 on the original fluid.

My 2009 doesn't have a drain plug but I was able to siphon 5 quarts the first time and four quarts the second time out of it. difference was the frist time I let the car sit alot longer and siphoned over a longer time period.

Check out ebay for NS2 fluid too. You can get it for alot less than $20/quart.

One of the ebay sites I looked at had a totally different appearing cvt fluid bottle. Could there be an older version of ns-2?

The ones I purchased always were a white bottle with a gray front. they also said Nissan NS-2. Maybe it's a new bottle design?

Not from Nissan? I have only seen white bottles.

BTW If anyone lives near Van Nuys CA, we sell the CVT Nissan NS-2 Fluid for $10 Qrt. Just mention this post to get it at that price.

Okay. Thanks for the input from all of you.

Back to the original question; hopefully an answer from a real Nissan tech.

I have a trans fluid drain plug (I think - at least it looks like one) on a 2007 Altima 2.5sl.

How many quarts do I need? The owners manual and my Chilton manual leave the quantity blank. I asked the parts counter guy and he didn't have a clue (Nissan dealer).

5 quarts minimum if you are going to let it drain for a longer time, buy at least 6 quarts.

total capacity
RE0F09B V6 3.5L 10-6/8 qt
RE0F10A L4 2.5L 8-3/4 qt
