2008 Altima S 2nd time manifold cracked =(
Hi everyone, new member here....Well lets give you some background info....our exhaust manifold cracked at 98k miles, was replaced under 150k warranty. Now at 158k cracked again. Nissan dealership did not want to do anything about it, so we called Nissan USA, back and forth calls to them frustrated me more, they did not want to help us at all even though it was only 8k miles over the original warranty. Kept climbing chain at Nissan USA, now escalated to executive team who stated our car (vin) is included in the newest May 22nd, 2013 campaign here is the kicker....its vin specific but you have to have a SULEV classification sticker under your hood in order for it to be covered under that campaign....ummm vin specific should show our car is a 2.5 S not a hybrid?? So I am wondering if anyone has any info on the newest May 22nd campaign? I cannot find anything on it anywhere.... Appreciate all the help.

If they told you your vin is included in the recall then you should be covered. Call any dealer or Nissan and ask if there are any open recalls on the car. Or pm me your vin # and I will check it tomorrow for you.

Thank you for the info! I will PM you the vin although here is another piece of info she told me....for some reason the dealerships cannot find out vin in the system but it shows up in hers. She said per this campaign all 2008 Altima are included that is why our vin showed up but we have to have a SULEV sticker under the hood!?

Even if it wasn't under the campaign, the part should have still been covered under the 12 month/12000 mile part warranty (assuming that it's been less than a year since the repair).

Yes, unfortunately, its over the 12 month, 12000 miles, but again, this is the second time it broke in 158k miles....

2007 Cracked Manifol
I have a 2007 altima and the dealer told me I have a cracked exhaust manifold. Has anyone has this or can provide help would greatly appreciate it. The dealer told me it will be $788 +tax to get it repaired and Nissan Corp will not help me either. They do not stand behind their products or customers. Please help! Please email me at [email protected]

Hello there, then if I am not mistaken, your manifold is covered up to 150k, that is what ours was covered up to!! And believe me you would thing that every nissan service department would know this but they do not. Its a standard warranty on this part.
