Default Nissan altima immobilizer?

Well let me start by saying hi and I'm new to this site! Well I have a problem with my car one day I went to get in and start it up, as soon as I started it, it turned off real quick. I asked a local macanic to take a look at it and he said it was the crank sensor so with that being said we changed it and still had nothing. Next we changed it can sensor still nothing plugged in the computer and got a code that read p1610. Anti theft system I called a local locksmith to reprogram my key and still nothing is there a chance that the immobilizer went bad?

DTC 1610-1615 is about NATS (nisssan anti-theft system). Your mechanic can install a new immobilizer then tow car to a Nissan dealership. Bring all your keys. Your keys and new immobilizer will have to be programmed to ECM and only dealer can do that. Just so dealerhip will not charge you another diagnostics fee have your mechanic call them and discuss what needs to be done.

Thanks buddy appreciate the help... So most likely it's the immobilizer huh? Is there any chance I can use a used immobilizer from the junk yard and have them reprogram it with my keys?
