Default HELP! Possible BCM/ECM issue?

I drive a Nissan Altima 2006. Have about 93k miles on it. I have recently got replacements for oxygen sensor, catalytic converter, and spark plugs. However, after the job is done, my turn signals started acting up. For example, when I turn on the turn signals, it doesn't show the arrows on the display like it was supposed to. Also, the odometer would start flicking and the numbers would jump. I took my car back to where to I previously received the service, the mechanic told me that it has nothing to do with what he did (O2 sensor, cat converter), but it might be a body control module (according to that mechanic) issue, and it would be best if I go to a dealership.

My questions are
1) If it is indeed a BCM issue, could it be that it was something that the mechanic did that caused it?
2) How much on average does it cost to replace a BCM?
3) If I opt out and leave it for a while, could i cause any immediate damage to my car?

Not very familiar with cars... anything helpful is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
