The air bag light may just have enter in a self diagnosis mode.

You should rest the light first:

- Open driver door
- Get inside
- Close the door
- Turn ignition to the 'ON' position (Do not start the engine)
- Open door
- Press the door ajar switch button thing (7) times
- Close door
- Start your car.....

If the light remain flashing, try to repeat the procedure.

If still 'ON' you should have the dealer inspect, you may have an open air bag module or control unit.

Default blinking airbag light

steve this is a problem with lots of nissans, I had three diffrent nissans at the same time, two altima's and a sentra and all three lights would blink continuously , do like i did ask other nissan drivers with the same car and see if they have the same problem . I love the altimas so much I purchased a new one, no problems yet. The company need to let the public know about this problem with their cars and make the neccesary repairs with out stating a $2,000 charge to turn off the light
