2005 Nissan Altima 2.5l P0420
Getting P0420 code, cleared code, got it again.
I see in the 2005 Altima Warranty booklet that for California Emission Performance\Defect\Long Term Defect "** Sentra with 1.8 engine and California Emission Altima with 2.5 engine ONLY: Warranty coverage is 15 years/150,000 miles, whichever occurs first." I found this Service Bulletin NTB09-046 located here: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/ba..._NTB09-046.pdf According to the servcie bulletin it needs cat replaced and ECM reprogrammed. I have 144k miles would I be covered if mine is a Cali emissions car? |

P0420..i already got a reprogramming, but the code came back after a year or so.
Injector cleaner was a temp fix on my 2005 Altima S at 130k. We baby this car and well maintained. it seems the Nissan P0420 code overrides other codes. This maybe why no crankshaft code, but the fix so far is the crankshaft sensor! |
