Default 1998 Altima P1320 & P0325

Hi, I have an Altima that just died today, I was driving down the road and it stopped responding to the gas pedal.

I pulled over tried to turn it on and it wouldn't start

These are the two codes that came up

P1320 Ignition Signal, Primary

P0325 Knock sensor, Bank 1

Anyone know what the problem might be so I can fix it, thank you

The knock sensor, which is the one that usually triggers the P0325 code should make the engine stall. The P1320 indicates that there is a problem with the ignition coil or power transistor inside the distributor. I suggest checking the distributor connectors and other items that may not trigger a code, like fuel pressure.

My 1998 Nissan Altima died suddenly today while driving 70mph on the freeway...
Full electrical power, turned over strong, but would not start...
Nothing out of place on a visual inspection...
AAA towed me home...

Checked the codes and got P0325...
Read that oil in the distributor could be the cause of sudden unexpected death...

Pulled the cap and no oil, "but the rotor attach bolt fell out"...
Cleaned the rotor tip, receptacle and shaft...
Re-installed the rotor, attach bolt, and distributor cap...

Started right up...
