Mass Air Flow Sensor Code
I have a 2004 3.5 Alt.
I took the air cleaner housiong out to change the bulb in my front head light and after everything was put back together, the check engine light came on. I disconnected the negative battery post for 30 minutes, and drove 200 miles and the light is still on. I went to get the code and it is saying Mass Air Flow Sensor. I check to make sure everything was hooked back up and nothing is out of place. Does anyone have any ideas of what I may of done to make this code or anything I can do to make it go away. Thanks |

Did the light turn off after you disconnected the battery? I suggest checking the connector again.

No, the light never went off. I have disconnect the negative battery cable three times. I have re traced my steps and took everything apart and put it back together and the light is still on.

30 minutes is probably not enough. Leave it off over night. The shop manual sez 24 hours to clear all codes. The best thing is to get yourself a scan tool, and reset it right from there, plus you will have a vlauable tool as long as OBD-II is with us.

You have to erase the code first !!!!!
Your sensor might got dirty !? clean it with the proper spray--gently !!! |
