Some generic parts can be bought at Auto Zone but most can only be bought from a dealer.

In some cases, the aftermarket parts ARE the OEM parts reboxed, as they are purchased from the same suppliers. |

Anyone know where the evap canister and control valve are on a 2002 Altima SE? I've taken a quick look under the rear end but where most are saying it should be, I have a muffler (dual exhaust). I read somewhere I might have to drop the gas tank to get to it. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow..I'm so glad I found this thread. I think this subject is my issue. If the original poster doesn't mind, I'd like to jack this thread for sec.
'96 Hardbody 2WD My truck will start but won't continue to run. I fires up nicely and dies. I replaced the fuel pump, the fuel filter, the fuel pressure regulator. Did a fuel pressure check and she is pushing fuel at 40 psi. I spray the throttle with some starting fluid when it wants to die and she come back to life. So there's definitely a fuel delivery issue. so I'm pulling my hair out and noticing all these darn BBs on my garage floor. I friend of mine told me if the evap canister gets busted or damaged it will release the BBs into the fuel system. So i haven't went back under to check the canister and evap value. In fact, I really want to just get a new canister and value, replace 'em and be done with it. The codes I'm pulling are P0446 and P0180. Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice? |

many of those parts are only available from a dealer and can vary by the date the vehicle was made. that's your best bet.

I've changed it. It's not that hard just becareful of the sensor plug that was difficult to remove. Also before tearing apart the evap canistor and the shut off valve. Check the sensor from your intake manifold vaccuum to the evap make sure that you're getting vaccuum on both sides of the sensor. No vaccuum there then you'll definitely get evap code.

01 altima epav canister
Ive had the check engine light on my altima for a couple weeks now finally went and got the codes checked out and found out its an emissions problem, the codes are P0455 and P1448, I was just wondering if that means i have to replace the whole evap canister or if I can just replace the vent control valve? I was also wondering around how much its gonna cost me?
Thanks for the Help |
