Question Camshaft Position Sensor

Hey guys. Running a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S.
My question is, what happens to the engine if the camshaft position sensor acts up?

Reason for question is, at this time I cannot afford a crankshaft position sensor, and wanted to swap the two sensors. The crankshaft sensor is acting up a bit from time to time.

Wanted to know how the engine would act if I swapped the sensors, and sensor acted up at the camshaft position.

Thanks guys...

If your Camshaft position sensor starts going bad, then you will start having starting issues. If your Crankshaft position sensor starts going bad then you will have stalling issues. Make sure you purchase the new revised "metallic version" of these sensors since the plastic version has been known to have defects from the start. Also the codes are P0340 and P0335 for the Camshaft and Crankshaft position sensor trouble codes.
