2008 Coupe headlight bassast issue
Hi,
Own a 08 coupe 3.5 SE with HIDs. The passenger side HID went out, so i ordered 2 bulbs to replace both bulbs at the same time. When I replaced the bulbs however, I found that even the new bulb wouldn't light up. Now, this car has been in a couple of accidents where the whole front bumper (and rear) were replaced, and as such there might have been undue stress placed on the wiring. I believe the issue is at the ignitor (connector part of the ballast). I say this because I even hung the ignitor with the bulb outside of the headlight assembly and tried to turn the lights on. It also feels like to me, that underneath the shielding of the cable that not all the wires make it to the ignitor socket. I can't seem to find a replacement part or procedure to wire this, or even to check if that would be the issue. FYI, the rest of the lights on that side work (turn indicator and high beam). Anyone know a way to check the continuity of the wiring while the front bumper is still on the car, or do I have to do surgery and open her up? Also, is there any replacement parts for this? Chris |

I would start with checking fuses. There are separate fuses for the left and right head lamps. They should be in the ipdm (under hood fuse box)
