Exclamation Electronic Stability Program Problems

Hi, I've had my Nissan Almera Tino SVE 1.8 for about 3 years and it was 3 years old when I bought it.

I started the car today and the engine light came on along with the skid light and the "esp off" light. I put some more oil in on Saturday, I spent ages making sure it was the right stuff and it is only today that it has said that there is a problem, the oil wouldn't effect the esp would it?

It said that I would need to take my car to a dealer, when ever I see "take your car to a dealer" I see flashing in my mind, so I wonder if this is a simple problem that can be fixed or if I will have to bite the bullet and get an expensive nissan professional to look at it, scratch their head, take a deep breath and say "this is going to cost you!".

Advice would be very well received. Thank you!
