2004 NISSAN FRONTIER, PATHFINDER, XTERRA; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SIDE FLANGE MOUNTING BOLT
On some model year 2004 Pathfinder, Frontier and Xterra vehicles equipped with 4 Wheel Drive, the left front flange fixing bolt for the front final drive may not be securely tightened to the proper specifications. This condition may cause unusual differential noise or an oil leak from the final drive. To prevent this condition, Nissan has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to tighten the left front flange fixing bolt to the proper torque specifications and to replace the drive shaft fixing bolts with new ones.
