There are many things that can cause that problem. Could be problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, spark plugs or fuel pump. Unfortunately there is no way to know what exactly the problem is without performing some test.

Try turning the key to the ON position for a few seconds before cranking the engine. If the engine start without any problem, it means that the fuel system is loosing fuel pressure and you may have a problem with the fuel pump.
