Default trouble with vvt

hey guys need help with this tricky one. my 350z 2006 has a miss at idle but whn i take off the clip from the solanoid the miss goes away completely. anyone had something like this???? any help would be nice

Is the engine light ON? any codes stored in the ECM?

It's is possible that the idle is too low and when you disconnect the solenoid it goes into a fail safe.

You should start by adjusting the base idle. The instructions are in the "Engine Control" section of the service manual. You can download the section free from here: Knowledgebase - 2006 350Z - Nissanhelp.com

Default whn i take off the clip from the solanoid

well no check engin light and when i run the scan it does say solanoid fault, i tried changing it but the problem stays there. but the min i disconect the socet its just so ok. idle and all seems normal.

I'm assuming you're referring to the intake valve timing control solenoid. Are you disconnecting both solenoids or only the solenoid on one bank of cylinders?

well yes that is the solenoid i am talking about and i did try to disconnect one and both, the car idels really bad but on higher reves its perfect. its like the left cylinder always has vvel on not just at higher revs
