Default Warranty on my tranny

To Nissan Techs:

Can you please tell me if Nissan gives worldwide warranty on 350z tranny? I drive 03 Track and I experience 3rd gear synchro issue. All my friends having this problem got their transmission replaced under warranty (5 years). I moved to Ireland and took my car with my. I went to a dealer here (in Ireland) and they told me that as long as I didn't buy it or service it in Ireland I am not valid for warranty. IS THAT CORRECT ??

Can I claim a replacement of my faulty transmission to any other dealer here or I need to go to US ?

You should call Nissan Consumer Affairs ((800) NISSAN-1 (or 800-647-7261)), I think they make a decision on a case by case basis.

Listen to that : I was trying to resolve this case for more than 2 months !!! I called Nissan USA 5 or 6 times and they were telling me that local specialist will contact me within 1-2 business days. What a %@$#@! !!! After 2 months waiting for their call I called Nissan again asking what kind of joke is this ?? I got a call from local specialist the same day. And here is what they told me: "Since I moved out from USA - my extended warranty is no longer valid !! " I was shocked !! I understand they could ask me to pay for international-shipping or labor outside USA ... but I don't think, that the fact that I am out of USA has anything to do with the faulty part I am claiming to replace !!!

Why would I pay for extended warranty first place ?? Do you guys think I should call my lawyer or talk to Nissan again ?

Technically the car is only covered in the country that it was built for.

Guys!

As I told you before I am experiencing the 3rd gear grind issue. Even
having extended warranty - got scre..ed by Nissan USA - since my car
is out of US I am not covered anymore so free tranny replacement is
not an option!!

My question is : Is there any way to fix the faulty synchro on 3rd
gear or I need to replace the whole tranny ?? Is driving with this
issue dangerous - would it kill the transmission sooner or later or is
just that annoying noise ??

If replacing the synchros is an option what do you think : replacing synchros vs replacing tranny ?? What would be the estimate cost and downtime for both ??

I know you can get a new 009 tranny for under 2K at the dealer. How much would the synchros be? Are we talking about NISSAN synchros or are there any manufacturers (not Nissan) who make them? I assume u need to remove the tranny to replace the synchros - so guessing the labour would be even more expensive than replacing the tranny itself. Is that correct ? Would my tranny act like 009 after replacing the synchros (I heard there is no more issues with gears grinding after replacing old tranny with 009) ??
