Question 2005 xterra warning lights on, but no symptons.

i have a 2005 xterra and a couple of days ago my abss, slip, and vdc indicator lights came on but i'm not hearing, feeling, or experiencing any problems in the braking system or any irregular driving with the truck. does anyone have any ideas why or what caused these lights to suddenly come on? i checked the brake fluid and it's not low. i did the pads about 2 or 3 months ago but they aren't squeeking or scrubbing. my tire pressure light has been on for a while but i figured the tires needed rotating because none of them are low and i bought them as a set around 6 to 8 months ago. any input would be helpful as i'm trying to avoid a trip to the dealer. thanks.

The TPMS light doesn't come on because your tires need rotating. Likely, one or more of the TPMS sensors has a bad battery, which requires replacing the sensor assy. These sensors generally last about 5-7 years. If one's bad, then likely the others aren't far behind. I recommend replacing all four as a set. I use Dorman sensors as they are half the price of Nissan units and the have a lifetime warranty.
As far as the abs/slip/vdc lights, they are all related. You need to retrieve the codes. An OBD II code reader will not work; you will need a capable scan tool to access these systems. OBD II code readers only work on powertrain codes.
