Noise in drive position with brake depressed
My 08 versa makes noise like "guuuuurmmmmmpppp" when it is put in drive position with brake depressed. It is very annoying especially when waiting traffic light..., even though it does not make noise all the times. But sometimes it does and very loudly. I was told by a technician that the a/c compressor has the problem. But why I don't hear any noise when it is in park/reverse positions??? Any one has the similar problem? Any suggestion? Thanks!

I haven't heard that type of noise before. Is your Versa out of warranty?

Yes, out of warranty... Technician said compressor problem but I am still in doubt. Because with a/c off, I still hear the noise. And as mentioned above, no noise in park/reverse position even with a/c on.
