We are having the same problem. Two weeks ago the car wouldn't start in the parking lot..Towed it to dealership ..started for them the next morning.. replaced fuel pump. On sat stranded in Lowes parking lot.. towed again and they have no idea why.. because it started for them. That's when I started going on-line and wow so many versa owners are having the same problem.. and we own 3 Versas.. never had a problem until two weeks ago and so far so good with the other two.. Why can't they figure this out?

Good evening,
The car has had 4 pressure regulator installed, a new fuel pump. Because of the same problems you are describing in your thread. I asked about a bad lot of pressure regulators and of course that could not happen (Nissan). Guess what; Nissan believes there was a bad manufacturing run on these pressure regulators. You’ll find nothing in writing from Nissan, but the service managers are starting to hear about quality issues on these pressure regulators. I’ve since had a new one installed; the problem has seemed to go away. But a new problem stuck its head up. The engine blow up the same day I picked the car up from the dealer which they had for two weeks. Now the car has a new engine, fuel system. I have to give credit to Nissan, they have been great to work with, but the problems with this car just keep growing. You may contact me at bob532@msn.com |
