2009 Versa Battery Problem
I am having the same problem as many others with the dead battery. If I have not used the car in 3 or more days, the battery is dead. The longer not in use, the more dead it is (Intelli-key wont work at all). This will be my third battery........such a waste since I can NEVER rely on this car to take me to the airport or sit for a few days without working. Its sad since I bought it in October 2008. I thought Nissans were reliable, and now I am finding out they are not.

What the dealer say about the problem?
Do you have any aftermarket accessories? I personally haven't seen that problem, but I hope some else can give you an advice about your problem.

Re: 2009 Versa Battery Problem
The dealer is not sure why this is happening. They have replaced the battery already. The dealer is quick to determine that nothing is wrong, since two times I had to have the car jumped to be towed out of my driveway and when the dealer gets it, it starts right up. I have had to explain to them, that the towing company had to "charge" the batter to get it to start, and since it was jumped within one hour of being towed to the dealer, that the car needs to sit for a little while.
I do not have any after market accessories. I have satellite radio that I plug into the cigarette lighter while I am driving, but that is it. My only concern is that the bluetooth light stays on after the car is shut off. My phone tries to connect to bluetooth in the car while the car is off. I am wondering if the bluetooth is draining the battery? I know that the bluetooth uses a minimal amount of battery, but could that be a problem? Has anyone had the same problem? |

Bluetooth Short Kills Battery
I just found out that there was a short with the bluetooth and that was the reason for the dead batteries.

So do you mean that the light should not stay ON?
Thanks for posting the issue that you discovered! Max |

Yeah, the bluetooth light should go off when the car is off. The bluetooth also should NOT pick up unless the car is on.
