Thumbs down Day Time Running Lights

I would Like to add Day Time Running Lights to my 2008.5 Titan. Is there a DRL Kit or module with instructions available anywhere?

found these online i would call to see what applies to your car DRL Kits - Automotive Products - Hamsar Diversco Inc.,, Automotive Electronic Accessories - Quality Accessories for Your Car, also try looking onebay.

as for the wiring either someone on here can help you out or the one you buy may come with instructions. i would try searcing on sme titan forums for the write up, im sure u are not the only one that tried to do them. oh and if u are good in electrical department then if u dont mind subscribing 10 bucks u can download the full service manual which will include an electrical section. and the full service manual can be found here Knowledgebase - Titan - Nissanhelp.com remember its for subscribed members only though, i dont see a loose section

Default OEM DTRL

I installed the OEM DTRL on my truck. Refer to the wiring diagrams in the service manual.

Getting hold of the relay socket can be a pain. You'll need the 5 pin socket. Try the auto-wreckers. The relay you can purchase on line or from your local dealer. It is the same relay that is used for T/F 1, T/F 2.

You gotta love Nissan for this one. If you have an American spec. truck your BCM will not have the option in it to select DTRL. I, again, sourced a used BCM from a Canadian truck from an auto-wrecker.

If you can find the parts, its actually quite easy. You will have to go to a dealership to install the new BCM, configured with DTRL, reprogram keys and any other functions you have on your truck. Do not change out the BCM yourself as it has the your trucks key codes in it for the vehicle security system. If you do your truck won't start and after five attemps the security system locks the truck down and only a dealer with the scan tool will be able to unlock it.

As mentioned before aftermarket DTRL modules are available from Hamsar.
They have 4 wires, red and black go to the battery, can't remember the other colours, but, one connects onto the light circuit you want on and the other connects onto the signal wire, wire that has 12V when the engine is running only.
