foul odor from AC vents (2007 sentra 2.0S)

Has anyone had a problem with a foul odor coming from the ac vents? it smells like mildew! the tech at Nissan tells me this is normal. My Sentra 2.0 S only has 12,000 miles on it and has done this since the day i bought it. Thanks for any input!

i believe its normal, it bad for a few seconds but should diappear. i think it has to do with the A/C when u use it i believe u need to hit the recirculation button or tlet it run with out a/c on just regular air.

Unfortunately it is. Just like sergey85 suggested, try to turn off the A/C a few minutes before you arrive to your destination, that will dry out the A/C evaporator, impeding mildew built up.
