2000 SE Help
Hello, I came to this board because if I ask 3 different people about my problems, I get three different answers. I'm really hoping to get a good solid answer from someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
A few months ago the check engine light came on in my 2000 Sentra SE (the 2.0). The guy at auto-zone said vacuum leak. I don't remember the code, but if it's needed I'll go get it again. Being the responsible adult I am, I ignored it because it didn't seem to be effecting the car much, other than increasing the idle by about 500, but only when the car was cold.
Now, (again only when the car is cold) when driving along in 3rd, 4th, or 5th, if I hit the gas to hard, IE, anything above little old lady on her way to church, the engine rev's as if I am holding in the clutch. Then the RPS go back down and it 'catches', and the car accelerates.
So, are these two problems related, and wether or not, what do I do about it?
