Recently I had rear brake (service bulletin) fix installed by the dealer, that was suppose to resolve the brake thumping noise. This included new brake shoes and turning the drums. After a short period the noise is back. I will probably take back to the dealer, but I was curious to what other things could cause this noise, i.e., warped front rotors, wheel bearings, etc?
If the noise is coming from the rear I don't think the front rotors can cause the problem and the wheel baring usually produce a different type of noise. It's possible that the dealer didn't perform the repair correctly. Have them take a look at it again, I'm sure they find the solution.
Thanks for the reply. I don't have a lot of faith in my dealer to correctly diagnose problems. I had to print them out a copy of the bulletin from this site, the first go round. They were not even aware of it.
