01 GXE - Surging and Flickering Headlamps
Hey all,
My 2001 GXE 1.8 has 87k on it. I can feel the engine kinda sputtering/surging through the gas pedal, and while driving you can feel it. Just a few minutes ago while I was driving home, the headlamps were flickering in the same rhythm as the sputtering/surging. Any ideas? There is no loss of power associated with the sputtering. And it's not like a real jerky sputter. It's just barely noticeable. At first I was thinking the spark plugs, but they are 100k plugs, so I didn't think that could be it... Thanks, Patrick

Until a Specialist replies...Check your Battery and your terminals (make sure they are nice and clean).

Battery and terminals are good. I'm thinking the alternator is starting to go.
