2001 Sentra GXE 1.8 acceleration issues
Need some help i bought this car and it was abused, so i took care of the car the thing is that when you press on the gas pedal it doesnt respond you have to let go and press it again back so it can accelerate more heres the thing if you go in a highway the car now runs ok the bad thing is on the streets thats were it doesnt respond it gets wost if you turn on the a/c, it has check engine light on the code was for an oxygen sensor it was too lean just one code no misfires anyone can help me out
with this problrm any suggestion of replacing the MAF sensor or IACV one more thing at idle if you press on the gas it has minor blowback on 2500 rpms after that the car doesnt do that anymore. |

Sounds like a bad MAF, but before replacing the part you should follow the diagnostic procedure for that code. The diagnostic procedure is in the "Engine Control" section of the service manual. You can download the section free from here: Knowledgebase - 2001 Sentra - Nissanhelp.com

YES!!!!!!! i went back to the car and i took off the MAF sensor guess what
i didn't had the resistor looks like it fell off or somebody mess with it lucky that i had a used MAF sensor that a friend gave it to me also i cleaned with MAF sensor cleaner that i bought at oreillys and finally we did the relearn procedure, THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED |
