Engine serial number sentra 1.8 2004

Hello. I am a new Sentra owner. A 2004 1.8 S. I try to find the serial number of the engine, which is supposed to be on the block near the transmission. It is supposed to be visible from the front of the car but I dont see it. Any help will be welcomed. Thank you.

For the 2.5 the number in on the front, but for the 1.8 is on the back of the engine
