Default 2004 Sentra 1.8s Gas Guage problem.

Hello~
I am an owner of sentra 04. My sentra has a problem about Gas guage that is not going up FULL. it means even if I got full tank, the gas guage just goes up to 7/8. I have been visited two nissan dealers and they replaced Fuel system parts, but they could not figure out the problem.
If anybody had same guage problem as mine or know how to figure out the problem, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello Joe

Welcome to the forums!

I think is time for you to call Nissan consumers affairs (1-800-647-7261) and have a real tech repair the your car. The gas gauge circuit is very simple and with only two components: Gauge and sender unit. The problem is either one of those two component or a bad ground wire. Most likely they already replaced the fuel sender unit. The next step is to check the condition of the gauge, and if the gauge is OK then the wire is loosing the ground signal.
