Default Engine Problem

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra XE. The car was my moms and at 80,000 miles the engine blew. She replaced it and gave it to me. I had it for about 6 months and the car started to over heat again. I had it towed to my grandfathers and have been working on it for about a month now. Everything is now hooked up but the engine will now not turn over. The belts wind around but the engine will not kick over to start. My grandfather thinks that it is the timing chain. He feels that it may have slipped and that may be causing this. If the timing chain did slip would anyone know how to set it so that everything may run to get the car started.

Download the "Engine Mechanical" section of the service manual: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/116

The section shows you how to replaced the chain and the marks. Have you check for fuel pressure?
