Question sentra gxe 1.8 l ignition coils

ref misfire #1 cyl

It appears two of my coils Or Cyln # 1 was not firing & #3 partially
firing , but I try to verify a good one & supposly a bad coil and i get the same ohm readings. I try to to see if i get spark by the DTC procedure and nada. I am a puzzled .

There are three leads /conections one marked + , the middle is G, the third one is lB .

can some one give me some advice on this or diagram of the coil

ref engine firing order 1342

I pull the harness off each injector while the car was running. only # 1 seem to be not working, i checked for spark on # 1 & 3 got nada if I tried to check #4 or #2 the car would not start and since I am by myself at the moment no one to help crank the engine. I swithed # 2 coil to # 1 cyl
and the car ran

Coil Data
Primary is 1.0 ohms
secondary is 10 K ohms
Ignition Resistor 2.2K ohms

I am puzzeled, At $100 a pop for the ignition coils, I have not satisfied myself
I have found the problem

Any advie or help would be greatly appreiciated.

Lee

Wow - not sure you want to do this! It sure looks like the Fuel Pump is in the Gas Tank along with the filter...If not, I'm sure someone will jump in and correct me...

Pulled from your Service Manual - Section EC ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM and Section FE - ACCELERATOR CONTROL, FUEL & EXHAUST SYSTEMS

Hope this helps...

In the fuel pump assembly in the tank. I have never changed one or seen one plugged.

Lee, you should download the "Engine Control System" section of the service manual. Page EC-549 explains how to inspect the coils and the ignition system.

You can download the section from here: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/113
