Question Horn Doesn't work

The horn doesn't work on my 2001 Sentra GXE do you have any ideas where to look first. I wouldn't bother but I am giving my car to my dad so it has to be fixed.

Thanks

Check the ground and hot connections. That's most likely your culprit.

I'm not positive, but I believe there is also a horn relay that could be defective. But I would examine the fuse, check/reseat the connections first. Download free manual on this site for electrical details.

Check for power to the horn when pushing the button. If you don't have any power you most likely have a broken wire to the horn relay. It is very common on the sentras. The wires break in the harness at the bottom of the radiator support. Look for a green/black wire.

My 01 Sentra's horn stopped working after I replaced the Ignition cylinder. I assumed I had damaged something in the wiring around the steering column had , but so far I can't seem to find any info/diagrams for the specifics of the horn connections/wires for behind the steering wheel area... All the info I find is for under the hood

Anyone know where that info might be?
or which connection/wires to check behind the steering wheel?

I have all the service manuals and I haven't seen it, have i missed it

Any help would me appreciated

:)

This is the thinnest wire in the harness, I had a mechanic direct-wire it, no trouble since that point.
