Default high idle at the start...

what may be the cause of high idle during start especially when the engine is cold it reaches to 1.5 rmp for about 10 + min then it will return to normal idling..by the way my car is 1995 nissan sentra, she has no problem at high speed, I've already ask some advice from our local mechanics but they can't find the trouble is it normal to have very high idle at engine start and wait for about 15 min for me it is abnormal..I'm praying that you can give advice thank you very much...

I would check you MAF and IAT. It's normal to start around 1500rpm but it should start to slowly go down after about 2-3 mins not 15. Is you engine taking a long time to reach normal operating temperature?

Around 200 F should be average for your car. Does the temperature guage on the dash seem normal?
