1990 nissan sentra wont start
We were told the battery was bad so we replaced it.This car makes no sound when you turn the key other then accessories coming on.starter was tested, inhibit relay is good alternator was good fuses all good.So we had to get the car home and my husband ran a wire from the starter to the battery to start the car at first it didnt work,he said the cap on the wire is bad so he connected directly to the wire and it worked. On the way home we saw that now the gas gauge, temp gauge and the turn signal and backup lights dont work,Were at a loss.Nobody knows what the problem is and the car still does not start with out a direct wire to the the starter from the battery and things arent working. Please help

There ought to be a broken cable or a false contact due to oxidation or dirt. follow the bread crumbs from the battery onwards. Also make sure the battery negative is well grounded.

If the ignition is all ok check the nuetral safety switch. If it checks ok then you have an electrical issue. Trace that wire from the starter back until you find the break, or bypass the circuit with a new wire, with a fuse and another start switch.
