Angry Missfire/hesitation at idle on 93 Sentra

I am experiencing bad missfire/hestitation at idle with my 93 Sentra Auto.. So I went to wal-mart and got some cheap plugs and it still does it.. Any ideas? Any good spark plugs you recommend? What about gapping? Can that affect it that much no missfires?

i recommend Bosch platinum plugs. they come pre-gapped. However, many things can cause misfiring. go thru a troubleshooting chart to narrow it down. It could be a fuel injection issue, or some electrical/electronic component of the FI system. could be a disconnected vacuum line or leak.

you need to change 1 variable at 1 time. if i were you i would be checking ignition cables first. i dont know that car well but if there is a distributor and a plastic cap with a rotor inside, i would be investigating for hairline cracks on them. spark plug is important either, but not much those gap between electrodes.

out of curiosity, whats the oil capacity of a 93 sentra with 1.6 motor.. I was at work, and the techs were telling me 4 qts where I read online somewhere its like 3.4 qts.. I want the capacity for when changing the filter out too....

the capacity is just under 4 QTs with a filter. I always add 4 QTs plus a filter and have never had any problems.

put some new ngk platnium plugs and some bosch ignition wires in and the problem is still there... It missfires on in drive and reverse... If you put it in neutral or park, there is no missfire....

like clogged fuel filter, injectors, lines, or pump?
BTW, only missfires at idle.. Not at wot or 1/4 throttle
