Thanks Streamcast... I checked out the TSB you mentioned and talked to Nissan Parts Dept and they tell me that the so called "repair kit" is essentially a new fuel pump...at $307 (plus installation). My car starts fine when the engine is cold or hot.....but only has longer cranking when the engine is warm. This sounds like a temperature sensor problem to me, and not a fuel pump problem. Do you have any thoughts? .

I have a similar problem with my '05 Sentra. Only when its been parked for a short period of time (maybe a few hours). If I pump the gas as I'm cranking and quit trying to start then crank again it fires up. Seems like a fuel problem.
I found a Service Bulletin NBT05-052a, "Long Engine Crank Before Starting" but download was messed up and will have to wait until tomorrow to download and read... |

What happens is after the car starts when cold is normal, than is warmed up to operating temperatureor hot than let cool down to warm 1/2 hour or so the fuel pressure drops off and than it takes 2/3 cranks to start. It is a temp issue but for tthe fuel pump. The only fix is to performe the bulletin.
