Default 2013 aux connect to iphone 6

My 2013 Rogue only supports an iPod device. Does anyone know if I can connect an iPhone 6 via the aux port connection on the sound system in order to play music and/or audio books? If yes, does it simply require an aux <-> iPhone cable and are these readily available on-line?
Thanks.

Default Rogues and Ipods

I purchased an aux cable and connected my ipod 6. I found that it worked however, it constantly jumped to different tracks every time I restarted the vehicle. Also, when I was listening to audible, it would jump to random places in the book every time I started the vehicle.

I purchased a converter which allows me to plug the ipod into the ipod 5 cable. It works better but it is not without its bugs.
