Default 2017 Rogue Lane Departure Warning

There is a warning chime and the blinking LDW light, but should there be anything additional? Is Lane Departure Prevention, which is supposed to "gently guide you back", actually a feature, or something that never made it to final production?

That's all there is, although I think it's enough, I like the soft chime as it's not too startling.

Default Lane Departure Prevention

I just purchased a fully loaded Rogue 2017. I cannot find the menu to activate the Lane departure prevention system. It should be located just below the Lane Departure Warning button in the menu as per the owners manual. It is as if it is not even installed????

Anybody have an answer. I paid for this system so it should be there.

Go to settings/driver assistance/driving aids/lane/warning.

Hope this helps

You need the SL Platinum package to get Lane departure prevention.

I have the SL Platinum and don't see the "prevention" option. I can't imagine a prevention option. Would this option physically stop you from changing lanes or stop you from avoiding an obstical in the road?

What page in the manual are you looking at?

Lane departure prevention will keep you in the lane by lightly applying the brake.

Okay so you have to press the button on the dash each time the vehicle is started in order to activate the lane departure. I got it to work and it does brake and bring you back into the lane very slightly. The button is the little car with the circles around it.

Default Laane departure prevention

I have a 2017.7 Rogue SL with premium package. When I start up and press the lane departure prevention button, the light come on, but I can not sense any braking or steering wheel tug when I cross solid lines.. Is there any other way of verifying that it is functioning?

You will barely notice any braking at all but it is there. The button with the circle must be on everytime the vehicle is started. I find this a useless option that probably just causes undo wear on your brake pads.

I didn't notice the braking or a tug on the wheel.

Try very slightly crossing the centre line, 3 of the four brakes should come on and very slightly it may return you to the lane

Angry "Phantom" Lane Departure Prevention feature.

The Lane Departure Prevention is a worthless feature "if" it is even really there.

The manual says to check the Assist box under the user settings under Lane.

There is no Assist check box.

When turned on it is suppose to brake and assist you back to the lane.

I have tried it with the cruise control on and off at different speeds with solid white lines on both sides and all I get is the warning, NO assist.

I would like Nissan to explain this to all the owners that paid for this feature.
